Paul Simon is an American singer-songwriter, actor, and author. He first gained fame as one-half of the duo Simon & Garfunkel, which was formed in 1964 with Art Garfunkel. The duo released five studio albums between 1964 and 1970, with their most successful being Bridge Over Troubled Water (1970). After the duo split, Simon released his debut solo album, Paul Simon (1972), which was a commercial success. He has since released twelve more solo albums, with his most recent being Stranger to Stranger (2016). He has also acted in several films, including One Trick Pony (1980) and The Graduate (1967). He has won twelve Grammy Awards, three of which were for Album of the Year.
