Harold Pinter (1930-2008) was a Nobel Prize-winning British playwright, screenwriter, director, and actor. He is best known for his plays, which often explore the themes of power, language, and memory. His works include The Birthday Party, The Caretaker, and Betrayal. He was also an accomplished actor, appearing in films such as The French Lieutenant’s Woman and The Go-Between. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2005.
