Ernest Cossart (1876-1951) was an English actor and director who was active in the theatre and film industry for over 50 years. He was best known for his roles in the films The Scarlet Pimpernel (1934), The Private Life of Don Juan (1934), and The Ghost Goes West (1935). He was also a prolific stage actor, appearing in many productions in London’s West End. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Private Life of Don Juan.
