Bruce Cabot (1904-1972) was an American actor best known for his roles in the classic films King Kong (1933) and The Searchers (1956). He began his career in the early 1930s, appearing in a number of westerns and adventure films. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Searchers. Cabot was also known for his roles in films such as The Big Trail (1930), The Mummy (1932), and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962). He retired from acting in the late 1960s.
