Barnard Hughes was an American actor of stage, film, and television. He won a Tony Award for his performance as the title character in the play Da and was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in the film The Lost Boys. He was also known for his roles in the films The Hospital, The Hindenburg, and The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. He was also a regular on the television series Doc and Lou Grant. He died in 2006 at the age of 90.
