The Hunt (Jagten) (2013)
RT Audience Score: 93%
Awards & Nominations: Won 1 Oscar
3 wins & 8 nominations total
Anchored by Mads Mikkelsen’s sympathetic performance, The Hunt asks difficult questions with the courage to pursue answers head on.
The Hunt is like a rollercoaster ride, but instead of loops and drops, it’s a wild ride of emotions. You’ll feel angry, frustrated, and even a little scared as you watch the story unfold. The acting is top-notch, especially Mikkelsen who will have you rooting for him from start to finish. Just be warned, this is not a movie to watch on a first date unless you want to spend the rest of the night in awkward silence.

Bolstered by exceptional cinematography, powerful storytelling, and an Oscar-winning performance by Denzel Washington, Glory remains one of the finest Civil War movies ever made.
GLORY is like a history lesson that doesn’t make you want to fall asleep. The battle scenes are intense and beautifully shot, and the performances are top-notch. Plus, who doesn’t love a good underdog story? It’s inspiring to see the 54th Massachusetts overcome so many obstacles and fight for what they believe in. If you’re a fan of war movies or just looking for something to watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon, give GLORY a chance. You won’t regret it.
