Critics Consensus

Beautifully animated, smartly written, and stocked with singalong songs, Frozen adds another worthy entry to the Disney canon

Audience Consensus

Frozen is like a snowball fight: it starts off slow, but once it gets going, it’s a blast. The animation is stunning, and the characters are charming enough to keep you invested. The songs may not be as catchy as some of Disney’s other hits, but they’re still fun to sing along to. Overall, Frozen is a heartwarming tale that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Just make sure you have some tissues handy for the emotional moments!

Visually spectacular and suitably action packed, Star Trek Into Darkness is a rock-solid installment in the venerable sci-fi franchise, even if it’s not as fresh as its predecess

Audience Consensus

Star Trek Into Darkness is the perfect movie for those who love action-packed sci-fi films. With massive action set pieces and impressive CGI effects, it’s a visual feast for the eyes. The banter and bickering between the Enterprise crew are also a highlight, making it feel like a space soap opera. While some critics may argue that the socio-political commentary is lacking, who cares when you have spaceships crashing into each other at warp speed? Plus, who doesn’t love a good villain like Khan? Overall, Star Trek Into Darkness is a fun and fantastic mega-budget entertainment that’s worth watching.

No is a movie that will make you laugh, cry, and learn about Chilean history all at the same time.  Given the charnel-house atmosphere of Tony Manero and Post Mortem, it’s striking that Larraín concludes his Pinochet trilogy on a note of near-giddy optimism.

Dark, tense, and wryly funny, In the House is brilliantly directed by François Ozon and features fine performances from its talented cast

Audience Consensus

In the House is like a game of Jenga, but instead of pulling out blocks, the characters are pulling out the threads of their own lives. It’s a wild ride that will leave you questioning what’s real and what’s just a story. And let’s not forget Kristin Scott Thomas, who steals the show with her dramatic and hilarious performance. Overall, it’s a fun and thought-provoking film that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The Gatekeepers” is like a history lesson, but with six cool grandpas telling you their secrets. These guys have seen some stuff, and they’re not afraid to spill the tea. It’s like watching a spy movie, but it’s all real and you don’t have to worry about Tom Cruise doing his own stunts. Plus, you might actually learn something about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Who knew documentaries could be both entertaining and educational?

Critics Consensus

Beyond the Hills is a cinematic masterpiece that delves into the complexities of a society that is trapped between the past and the present. Director Cristian Mungiu’s use of long takes and measured pacing creates a haunting atmosphere that lingers long after the film has ended. The film’s exploration of religion as an instrument of patriarchal oppression is a furious indictment of a broken society. Mungiu poses no easy answers, but instead offers a profound and bruising study of a country whose inhabitants are cowed into incommunication by various forms of repressive dictatorship. Beyond the Hills is a slowly, quietly riveting passion play that is simultaneously thrilling and draining, and a powerful testament to the dangerous combination of ignorance, blind faith, and poverty.

Audience Consensus

Beyond the Hills is a movie that will make you question everything you thought you knew about religion, love, and society. It’s like watching a slow-motion car crash, but you can’t look away. Director Cristian Mungiu has created a masterpiece that will leave you feeling drained, but in the best way possible. The performances are hauntingly real, and the cinematography is breathtaking. If you’re looking for a movie that will challenge you and make you think, Beyond the Hills is the one for you. Just make sure you have some tissues handy.

A profound and bruising study of a country whose long-suffering inhabitants are cowed into incommunication by various forms of repressive dictatorship, it’s another muted triumph from director Cristian Mungiu.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a heartfelt and sincere adaptation that’s bolstered by strong lead performances

Audience Consensus

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is like a high school yearbook come to life, but with better music and more attractive people. It’s a heartwarming and relatable story about finding your place in the world, even if that place is on the fringes. The performances are top-notch, especially Emma Watson and Ezra Miller, who manage to be both hilarious and heartbreaking. And the soundtrack is a perfect mix of ’90s nostalgia and indie rock. So if you’re looking for a movie that will make you laugh, cry, and feel all the feels, this is the one for you.

If you’re looking for a movie that’s equal parts scandalous and historical, A Royal Affair is the perfect pick. With a cast that’s absolutely killer and a story that’s so wild it’s hard to believe it’s true, this film is a must-see. Sure, it might be a bit slow at times, but the stunning visuals and gripping drama more than make up for it. Plus, who doesn’t love a good forbidden romance? All in all, A Royal Affair is a sumptuous and exciting ride that’s not to be missed.
