    Bio:

    George Axelrod was an American playwright, screenwriter, and film director. He is best known for writing the screenplay for the classic film The Seven Year Itch, as well as the Broadway play Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? He also wrote and directed the films The Manchurian Candidate and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Axelrod was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Manchurian Candidate. He died in 2003 at the age of 81.
