The movie could have benefited from a more experienced director, but a great cast and script overcome any first time jitters the director may have had
Roger Dodger” is a movie that will make you feel like you’re at a party with that one guy who just won’t stop talking. You know the one. But instead of wanting to escape, you’ll be glued to the screen as you watch Roger’s journey from charming conversationalist to unbearable jerk. Campbell Scott’s performance is top-notch, and while the movie may not add up to much, it’s worth watching just to see him play such a showy, edgy part. Just make sure you have a drink in hand to sip on during those long, rambling monologues.
