Ernest B. Schoedsack was an American film producer and director best known for his work on the 1933 classic King Kong. He began his career as a cinematographer and worked on several films before directing and producing his own. He was also known for his collaborations with Merian C. Cooper, with whom he co-directed and co-produced several films, including The Most Dangerous Game (1932) and Grass (1925). He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture for King Kong and was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
