    Bio:

    Francois Truffaut (1932-1984) was a French film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, and film critic. He was a leading figure of the French New Wave movement of the 1950s and 1960s. He wrote and directed several critically acclaimed films, including The 400 Blows, Jules and Jim, and Day for Night. He was also a prolific film critic, writing for Cahiers du Cinema and other publications. He was a major influence on the development of modern cinema, and his works remain highly influential today.
