Frances Milstead was an American actress and drag performer best known for her role as Divine in the 1972 cult classic Pink Flamingos. She was the daughter of actor and director John Waters and was a fixture in his films, appearing in multiple roles in his films Polyester, Hairspray, and Serial Mom. She was also a successful drag performer, performing in clubs throughout the United States. She died in 1988 at the age of 42.
